Cryptolens / Devolens Alternative
When evaluating a Cryptolens alternative, separate the company brand from the licensing protocol. Devolens is the company brand; Cryptolens remains the licensing platform name in the vendor announcement. A branding change is not by itself a reason to assume customers need new keys or integrations.
Start with the current vendor contract
The official Devolens announcement describes continuity for accounts, data, APIs and existing integrations. Evaluate the licensing behavior and support you require, rather than assuming that a new company name changes the product contract. Check the vendor sources again before relying on current commercial terms.
What to test in PermitCore
PermitCore has eight published SDKs, device controls, bounded offline proof and a floating checkout/heartbeat/checkin lifecycle. Its Store uses one vendor-selected Stripe or Paddle connection and takes no sales commission; provider fees and terms still apply. Test the complete flow you need rather than interpreting a listed capability as certification of every operating system, deployment or third-party host.
Keep migration limits visible
Map your current key values, products, device counts and expiry rules. Preserve a tested export and document the old activation semantics. An import can preserve supported key strings, but it does not update already-installed clients or make a proof from one signing system valid in another.
Compare ownership and operating work
Verified CompanyAdmins can export active signing keys on every plan. A separate acknowledged recovery package includes a consistent snapshot, retained original Store values and stored inline asset bytes, with explicit gaps for missing historical values. It requires confidential storage and the appropriate original passphrase/signing material. This is not an automatic migration of another vendor service, payment subscriptions or installed clients.
Common questions
Will my installed applications switch automatically?
No. Existing builds keep calling the endpoint and verifying the proof they were shipped with. Plan a tested client release and an overlap period.
Can I keep existing key strings?
Supported imports can preserve key strings when the needed source data is available. That does not preserve another provider signature, automatically transfer device state or change old clients.
Is this a price comparison?
No current competitor prices or missing-feature claims are asserted here. Verify current plans and terms with each vendor, then test the actual workflow.
